ABOUT LGT FITNESS

MEET YOUR TRAINER

My name is Blake McKenzie and I am a Brisbane-based online coach, personal trainer, Sports Nutritionist and founder of LGT Fitness.
I founded LGT Fitness to share my passion for health and fitness and use my personal experiences and knowledge to help educate and inspire individuals to transform themselves physically and mentally. 
I strongly believe that your health should be your highest and most important priority and fitness is a lifestyle and lifelong investment.

I instill my passion and beliefs into my clients, I wasn’t always fit and healthy, I grew up with takeway 4-5 times per week whilst being very sedentary and playing a tonne of video games. At the end of 2011 weighing 105kg I reached the end of grade 11, and school holidays arrived, I took the next 8 weeks to continue to do what i enjoyed at the time. I would stay awake all hours of the night and video game whilst making the worst food choices a teenage boy with a massive apetitite could make, Fast forward 8 weeks my weight increased a whopping 25kg, that is unheard of, I know! But once I weighed in and realised what damage I had done and saw how concerned my family was, I decided to join the gym.

FAST FORWARD

Fast forward many years and lessons learnt later, I achieved a massive transformation that I will forever be proud of.  Each day I strive to inspire and help individuals to change their body composition and transform their lives. I love impacting and inspiring people to become a better version of themselves, I chose to become a personal trainer because I love helping others with their fitness-related goals, Over the years I fell in love with wanting to know more about nutrition, so I decided to take my education further and upskill as a trainer knowing it would benefit me and my business but also my clients. After years of learning and experiencing how nutrition plays a massive impact on performance and health, I became an ISSN Sports Nutritionist.

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND YOUR PURPOSE AND REASON WHY.

Why are you wanting to make the change, we all have our own purpose. Everyone is on their own journey and I treat each client as the individual they are, I am not the type of coach to adopt a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I will find the right approach and process for you. The hardest part of any new process or journey is taking the leap of faith and choosing to put your trust in someone to help guide and support you. As your coach my aim is to instil confidence in my clients, I want to make you feel empowered and accountable for your actions. There is no quick fix, I seek long-term sustainable results. Coaching for me is about education, support, and guidance.

It is very important to remember where you started and why you started. All progress big or small should be celebrated, I pride myself on being relatable, and genuine all within a no-bullshit approach, I will commit to your goals, push and challenge you physically, and mentally and invest in your growth and journey.

Motivation comes and goes however discipline stays with you forever. Habits on a consistent basis build discipline, and self-discipline builds strong minds and bodies.  If you are willing to step out of your comfort zone, make that change and realise your potential, I would love the opportunity to work with you.
